While anyone can make money online the problem for most is they either don't know where to start or are afraid to start. Being afraid all too often comes from not knowing where to start. 1.) Take a serious look at what it is you like to do. If money were no object; what subject would you be passionate about? What do you find yourself day dreaming about? 2.) Now that you have a vague concept of what you want to do it's time to figure out how you're going to turn that into profits. Again there are a lot of options here so it's important to decide on one main focus for your business. Do you like writing? Then maybe you'll decide to write a how to manual for your subject matter. Like making videos instead? Maybe you'll decide to create a video series on the subject. Whatever you choose just make sure it jives with you.

3.) Figure out how you're going to market your product. Making money online can be simple but only if you have a plan. Do you like and have the funding for a PPC campaign? Would you rather build a blog to drive your traffic too? Pick something that fits with your personality and likes so that it'll be something you decide to stick with for the long run.

4.) Create a website and/or capture page to build a list of customers. Your answer or choice to number three will help you answer this question and determine the amount of work you're going to have to put in. If you want to write a blog and run a PPC campaign then you will have to create both a website and a capture page. WordPress.com is a great place to start hosting a blog and there are a lot of free themes you can use to personalize your site.

5.) Decide how to advertise and drive traffic to your site/s. OK so if you chose a PPC campaign this step is pretty simple for you. You'll just have to start choosing the keywords you want to advertise with. The Google keyword tool can be really helpful for this step. If you chose a blog you can still run PPC ads to drive traffic. Or you can post videos on YouTube or start writing and submitting articles that point back to your site. The choice is yours, just make sure you choose.

6.) Great, now you know what you're going to sell, how you're going to sell it, you've got your website and capture page created so now what? Now, it's time to start implementing the advertising method you chose. PPC campaigns are simple to create but make sure you've got the funding to support them. You can sometimes get a great deal but you can also spend A LOT so just be aware of that.

7.) In order to become and stay successful at making money at home you gotta make sure to keep tweaking your keywords, ad campaigns, blog content, articles, videos, and everything else you put out there. I don't' mean to redo what you've done but just pay attention to what's working and what's not. Then focus your attention on what is working and try to make it even better!
